How to make Homemade Cranberry Sauce Thicker

How to preserve Homemade Cranberry Sauce
Your cranberry sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. That is just enough time to devour those Thanksgiving leftovers.
And that’s all there is to making fresh cranberry sauce, no can openers required!
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- zest of 1 small orange
- In a saucepan combine orange juice, sugar, cinnamon, orange zest, and cranberries.
- Bring ingredients to a light simmer. The cranberries will begin to burst.
- Continue cooking until berries have burst and the desired thickness of sauce has been reached. Stir occasionally.
- Transfer the cranberry sauce to a serving dish, cover with plastic wrap or a lid, and allow the sauce to chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until your desired thickness is achieved.
