Homemade Cranberry Sauce
Simple crowd-pleasing homemade cranberry sauce. A classic and delicious holiday staple.
Ingredients
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- zest of 1 small orange
Instructions
- In a saucepan combine orange juice, sugar, cinnamon, orange zest, and cranberries.
- Bring ingredients to a light simmer. The cranberries will begin to burst.
- Continue cooking until berries have burst and the desired thickness of sauce has been reached. Stir occasionally.
- Transfer the cranberry sauce to a serving dish, cover with plastic wrap or a lid, and allow the sauce to chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until your desired thickness is achieved.
