If your home is anything like mine, pancakes can transform a weekend morning from mundane to extraordinary.

They’re the perfect combination of sweet and crispy, warm and comforting.

Finding eggs at our local Costco is hit or miss these days, and the price of eggs is steadily rising. This has me looking for ways to save and stock up on groceries.

Whether you are vegan, have an egg allergy, or just don’t have extra eggs in your kitchen, my no-egg pancake recipe allows you to achieve the same delicious, fluffy pancakes without eggs!

Continue to the end of this post for the printable list of ingredients and instructions.

Eggless Pancake Ingredients

These pancakes are truly egg-free, with no egg replacements or weird ingredients needed.

The ingredients for this egg-free pancake recipe are simple, and you likely already have them in your pantry.

You only need flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, milk, and oil.

Milk – I often use coconut or almond milk when making these pancakes. It really just depends on what I have on hand at the time. Any milk can be substituted in this recipe.

Baking Powder – The key to the fluffiness of this pancake.

Salt – Adding a pinch of salt to the pancake batter enhances the flavor of the pancakes.

Sugar – Cane sugar, brown sugar, or coconut sugar all work beautifully in this recipe.

Oil – Use a neutral oil.

I happen to love the flavor of coconut, so I use coconut oil in the batter and to fry my pancakes. You can use whatever oil you prefer.

How to Make Pancakes Without Eggs

Making these egg-free pancakes is simple.

For starters, combine the dry ingredients in a bowl—flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt—and whisk until everything is evenly distributed.

Mix the wet ingredients in a separate bowl, combining them well before adding them to the dry ingredients.

Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined and your pancake batter has formed. There should still be some lumps in the batter.

Heat a skillet or griddle on medium heat and grease with butter or oil as needed (you may need to do this several times as you cook each batch).

Once the pan is hot enough (a few drops of water should sizzle on contact), use a ladle to scoop around 1/3 cup of batter into the pan.

Cook one side until tiny bubbles form around the edges, and then flip over with a spatula.

Cook until golden brown on both sides. Repeat with the remaining batter. Serve warm with syrup, honey butter, jam, or whatever you love on top of your pancakes!
